Roasted chickpeas are my new favourite snack. They are crunchy and filling and I can make tons of flavours. Plus so cheap! Cooking some right now

Just grab a couple of tins of chickpeas. Rinse them and dry them off. Like reallllly dry them with papertowel. I leave them for an hour or so to fully dry

Then on a cookie sheet pop them in the oven on 200 C or the F equiv. With NOTHING on them. Cook for around 1/2 hour. Then shake and add a tiny bit of oil.i use a spray thing

Add your favourite spices etc ( today I have garlic powder chilli and salt) I've also done sweet ones with Stevia and cinnamon. Then back in the oven till crunchy

Usually takes at least an hour... Sometimes more.

I usually do two cans at a time then split into 8 serves. Works out to 50 calories a serve but for those will full sized stomachs I'd do 4 serves for 2 cans

Yum! Does it taste like crunchy hummus? I've never had a chickpea that wasn't already hummus. LOL

Now I don't like hummus hahaha. They are just crunchy. They have a pretty neutral flavour so they taste like whatever you put on them

I've a friend who told me to try these. I'm just too lazy to roast them. (LOL)

Zaafir: ohhh it's so easy. They only require a shake every now and again

To be honest, the lazy problem is mostly that I don't have a good pan to roast them on and haven't bought one. My cookie sheets have no sides to them. They're just flat, so the garbanzos would roll right off.

Hahaha hmmmm use a little aluminium foil to creat sides to the cookie sheet?
