wow i hoep this runs better as a lay.
i don't know but i am also interested in the answer to this question
ikr I only skimmed my sister's copy and it was like
...I have written this fanfic
that's how I felt about book 6
Rowling's never been good at writing. It's just that now you're old enough to notice it
actually I don't think she did much writing for this one???
i do think she's good at worldbuilding and turns of phrase
oh yeah the STORIES are fine. It's just that getting through those stories is kind of a slog
(did you HAVE to be a thousand pages, book 5? I really don't think you had to be a thousand pages.)
oooh, i can see where you're coming from
like. Rowling works well as a children's author because she's a good storyteller and uses a lot of repetitive phrasing (lots of "dialogue, said Harry" and "dialogue Harry said, nonplussed"). But a lot of it
DOES come off as petulant Anne Rice-y responding-to-the-fandom like that horribly awkward "AND BTW HARRY LOVES GINNY NOT HERMIONE AND ALSO BLAISE ZABINI IS BLACK"
with that said, feel free to let me know what happens with Neville because the scene with Neville and his parents and the gum wrapper is the single most amazing thing in all 7 of those books
neville does not actually aear in the book
it was. it was a huge letdown
we went through 3 different aus
and the ending was cringe-worthy
i mean the mentions of neville was send him our leove, being killed in one verse, and then talking about using his lants
It's a lot of fun to see as a play, but the actual plot is terrible
yeah reading it as a "book" was cringeworthy at best and it seemed so choy
i was hoing the play was better
The actors, costumes, special effects, and choreography were all brilliant.
