And, so I was told by my HR person, they may ask for Adrian's SSN to confirm he's on the policy.

Dad (who is the one who usually takes him to the dentist because I actually work during dentist hours) refuses to give out Adrian's SSN under any circumstances.

But he also gets pissy if I go near his computer--the only one connected with a working printer.

Which normally I don't touch unless I need something printed.

So I told him straight up that his options are either to suck it up and give me 2 minutes to print it off, suck it up and give the SSN info as requested (which SHOULD only be one time and then just reconfirm)..

Or he can have fun arguing with the receptionist about finding the correct policy.

I think he's going to opt for Option A tomorrow

I understand identity theft is a huge issue for SSN, but medical facilities are usually pretty good at not getting hacked.
