Because in efforts to be eco-friendly, we don't get a card for the dental or the vision insurance. We can print one from home if we want, but otherwise we just name the provider and they look it up via my SSN.

So I told him straight up that his options are either to suck it up and give me 2 minutes to print it off, suck it up and give the SSN info as requested (which SHOULD only be one time and then just reconfirm)..

I understand identity theft is a huge issue for SSN, but medical facilities are usually pretty good at not getting hacked.
