This plurk inspired me to go to starbucks, where I am currently standing

macchiato means "marked", so you literally like, mark the milk with espresso. basically the shots get poured over the milk instead of shots first and then milk. that's why your drink wasn't mixed up

ask for it "upside down" next time and they'll make it the other way!
