so there's a genderqueer student in my physics course (I think transguy but don't want to presume and wasn't about to ask a stranger in that context for the specifics of their gender) who I feel pretty bad for.
they prefer Chris or Christopher but are largely documented as Clarissa, and the teacher wanted us to go around introducing ourselves with a class list that has 'Clarissa' listed for them.
