Okay, Near is definitely getting lost and winding up somewhere randomly because this is great for new CR, okay.
Also possibly speaking in a language the other character doesn't understand (seeing as he speaks several).
HIS CARD TOWERS WON'T STAND UP ANYMORE, DAMMIT!
Also, he doesn't make a ton of use of most of his powers, so they need to go off randomly sometimes.
Whoops, he actually didn't mean to force you to tell the truth. (He's been keeping that shit under wraps.)
Oh, yeah. This also means that his magical security measures on the house? They gonna go poof and he won't be able to reliably put them back up until the event is over.
But really, he's gonna be so annoyed about the card towers, man. /priorities
Because this way, Mello could at least eventually look at it like "He had this ability and didn't tell me . . . but he could have used it at any time and he didn't."
Near is super careful about that ability for a reason.
Not a moral reason, but a reason nonetheless.
Near gets to explain, "Well, you can probably learn it, even though Indigo certainly isn't the type you're suited for."
And explain why, should Mello ask and he probably would.
Cue Mello being annoyed by being better suited for angry-person magic than nerdy-person magic.
Near explains that Indigo is the magic of, among other things, knowledge. But nope, Mello you're better suited for anger magic. Sorry not sorry.
MELLO WOULD BE REALLY GOOD AT RED MAGIC, OKAY.
(Though really, do we want Mello to have the ability to set things on fire anyway?

)
I feel like I also want to throw my hat in this ring
Good times with forced honesty?
Normally, the ability only works once a week, but Confusion's revival is making everything nuts, so it could go off multiple times because of that.
