Tales: I've tried so hard to like Zestiria but I can't

I like the base personalities and dynamics of the cast to an extent but poor execution all around

I get that malevolence tried to be an allegory for toxic negative emotions but I would prefer if it didn't literally turn people and seraphs into monsters

as someone who thinks too much about mental illness it leaves a bad taste in my mouth

I want to say all of the Seraphs needed more development but I never finished the game and I think soooome of that gets addressed in later sidequests??

mechanics aside let's salt about actual story stuff

tl;dr Jaehee deserved so much more in the story but also fandom can you shut up

I love Jaehee so much she grew up in a household where she believed she needed to become independent as soon as possible and basically

fears that losing her job will make her lose her place to live (not just literally but her place in society and she has no one to go back to because her family is shit)

and her story is about MC supporting her and helping her realize the world doesn't end just because you don't have a job and if you hate your job it's okay to leave

And compared to everyone else's routes hers is very lighthearted but at the same time her route doesn't add to the plot at all and that makes me sad

Unknown shows up in all the other routes to wreck shit up but never comes up in Jaehee's and as a newer member she doesn't have the backstory to really hint at the mystery

anyway other than that I'm so sick and tired of everyone being "why the fuck isn't Jaehee route gay" I get it she got the short end of the writing stick but

I guess like
even if the writers decided to be no homo, Jaehee's is still a very intimate route

because she loves the MC a lot and proposes they become partners and even if she doesn't go the romo route I see it as a very sweet QPR?

I can see it but I'm tired of the "gay and confused" comments

anyway the real answer here is I am the official representative of the MC/Jaehee/Zen qp3 agenda because Zen is such an important part of their relationship and Jaehee deserves everyone's love

the three of them mutually support each other and their interactions when two of them talk about the third one is
