I feel there's gonna be a few femme fatale types around?
Janet Snakehole. a widow with a terrible secret. xD
Rosethorn and Iris, for two!
Awesomeness! hmm what else.
maybe we're just a stealthy female crime mob
Haha! their own gang. omg
Leia could be the one that everyone thinks is the poor innocent widow fallen on hard times
Iris is the one everyone thinks is the hooker with the heart of gold
and Rosethorn could be the one that everyone thinks is someone's respectable aunt, or perhaps a brusque lady doctor
but at night they are crime
Ahaha I was going to go with Rosethorn not being respectable in the slightest this time, but we can work something out!
she only looks respectable until she decides to cut throats
i'd love for her to get some breach cr with elizabeth, so they can bond over their friendship with poe post-breach!
Yes they all have fronts of innocence
Elizabeth is going to be a con-running femme fatale of course, working with erskine primarily
I need more Elizabeth CR for one thing, and Iris always works well with Erskine
Luke is iris's son, trying to make good?
I was really meh about this breach and now I'm excite
maybe Leia can be the 'kid' in this situation of ladies teaching her to badass
iris will teach her how to charm men
like she's had enough of feeling powerless
and luke gently trying to convince her not to listen to his mom
She definitely had a horrible husband and he died of ..something?? and now she's like I'm gonna OWN it with these ladies
definitely, would be hesitating seeing those precious Luke eyes.
ahahaha are they crushing on each other again
I feel like I should ..watch a film noir..
twisty morals and post-war fatigue
I'm watching it right now online
I think she'll be a local, but I might need to watch to get some inspiration
Han going to be a good guy? Because she could try murderise him. XD
Oooh or she could be with the good guys and nurse. Options. :|
my goal is to have brady witness what her assholeishness does to people on the bottom
never mind she has ACTUALLY EXPERIENCED IT she has just forgotten
BUT YEAH she's game for alliances
Aw?
Works for the right tiiime? I am bad at these things
idk if you want her for family or frenemy or anything :3
ok, watched the 3rd man and while the setting is the same as the breach, you don't actually get much of a sense of it being post-war, strife with corruption and black market dealings etc.,
the focus being almost wholly on the plot (which is a murder mystery), the setting practically inconsequential.
so if you're pressed for time, it might not help much in getting a feel for things
when I read the plotting post, it seems more like Casablanca to me? although that's not quite the same setting
probably too many nazis in that one though
MAYBE. I might try that though.
or should I sit out and catch the hell up with all my tagging also. Options.
yeah, if you're not super into it, that's okay too
that's interesting--I think the setting is one of the most interesting things about The Third Man. As in, it's not part of the plot directly but all character motivations hinge on it.
And it just feels really unique to me.
aside from lots of shots of Viennese buildings and statues, it really seemed secondary to me.
YMMV, obviously. For me, the fact that it's this ancient city in utter ruins, that this has allowed the black market to flourish, that Martins is an American in a foreign city divided by four different armies
that sets up the whole tone of the thing and makes the story one that couldn't take place without some similar elements
I didn't get the impression it was all that important to the story, you know?
That's fine, I just disagree.
