what about social roles?

The ladies tend to be in charge! The species is led by a goddess, and that gets reflected in their social hierarchy

They take most of the political and social leadership roles, and tend to be the ones who jockey for positions amongst each other

albeit of course always politely

Males are more often in military roles and liasing roles for humans and daemons

because they are seen as more violent and generally a little lesser

it's not a hard matriarchy but it trends that way
