Epic Mafia is really similar to Town of Salem I think, yeah! It's pretty much the same game with a different execution.

I've played a lot of werewolf IRL and I usually prefer Town of Salem over Epic Mafia, but my preferences shouldn't dictate the rule of what's played, haha.

EM and ToS use a very similar game structure but the details is where they differ

ToS is a lot more active for its participants with more gameplay variety, IMO, which is the reason I prefer it.

I've gotten kinda burnt out on EM and some of the more familiar glitches.

There's a lot to learn, but it's actually pretty easy to pick up especially if you're already familiar with the Werewolf/Mafia format

and games can be customized to limit what roles appear to make them more newbie friendly
