Went to a work event today and saw people who haven't seen me for months and one who hasn't seen me for a year. Was amazing. I forgot how much my looks have changed but to have everyone comment

it's the best feeling, right?/
It's so great when people notice I get it a lot at work as I only see my patients every 6 months I've had a few I haven't seen in a year that didn't recognize me at first.

The fact I had surgery isn't public knowledge at work. So a few people asked about how I'd done it and I felt a bit bad not telling the whole truth, but our office is terribly gossipy
so what? i ran into an aquaintance yesterday who didn't know.. and she said.. "so... you've been working hard! looking good!" and i just said.. "thank you, it's hard work indeed"

Oh no way i would have said anything else, but i still felt awkward
I told pretty much everyone how I did it. I work in a really small office so it would have been hard not too especially taking 5 weeks out of work
And I've told patients if they've asked how I've done it and they have all been very supportive it's been a very positive experience
