Just finished reading a really sad book. It's staying in my head. The problem is it is book two of a trilogy and the third hasn't been published yet. I know there will be resolution but not for a while...

I am reading an 11 book series, I'm on book 9 and book 12 comes out in a couple weeks.

I started reading them before I knew she was still writing them. Each book is a character though so it's not as detrimental as what you are going through.

It's not often that a book brings actual physical tears from me, but this one did. Actual unredeemable tragedy hit so close to real life.

when I was younger, I started reading the Dragonriders of Pern books. #3 was sort of a cliffhanger. It just left a lot unfinished.

waited forever for her to put out another book... when she did, it was a different story line in a different time period.

That is troubling boyo, authors need to remember they have a responsibility to the people reading the worlds they have created. They need to deliver what they promise...

Orson Scott Card says that is the biggest failure of writers, to not deliver what is promised or at least something close to that.
