And are places open during Thanksgiving

not really - just a lot of booze because there's typically a football game on that day too

and family holidays are for getting drunk

And are turkeys both Xmas and thanksgiving

some grocery stores and stuff are open until like 5pm or so but they close early. lots of retailers open "early" for black friday, aka ruining their employee's holidays

But Xmas can also be ham and any other roast

some people have turkey for both. my family usually has turkey for thanksgiving, and prime rib or something else for xmas.

We have turkey for Thanksgiving honey ham for Christmas and tamales and pupusas for New Year's if we all together

We buy our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner at Boston Market

We sometimes do duck or goose for Thanksgiving, just to change it up. The last few years we've gotten a fresh (never frozen) organic turkey from the butcher shop and had it smoked. It is so good.
