some grocery stores and stuff are open until like 5pm or so but they close early. lots of retailers open "early" for black friday, aka ruining their employee's holidays

We have turkey for Thanksgiving honey ham for Christmas and tamales and pupusas for New Year's if we all together
We buy our Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner at Boston Market

We sometimes do duck or goose for Thanksgiving, just to change it up. The last few years we've gotten a fresh (never frozen) organic (whatever) turkey from the butcher shop and had it smoked. It is so good.

omgwtfbarb: Pretty much nailed it with the pic. We'd do the same for Christmas with prime rib or maybe a pork crown roast. Something different but special.
