Not an awful read. Though, not great to hear a male, white blogger tell people of colour that "it's gonna be fine". I get the sentiment, and people will continue to support each other, but that's a little

teetering on the condescending and out of touch.

i'm guessing the author is not going to have literally every single one of their federal workplace, housing, and healthcare protections revoked on day damn one.

I get the attempted message. But for me it is just a little too hand-wavey at any of the issues people are concerned about.

"bad shit happens, have a coke and a smile" isn't really going to resonate with me.

I get what he's trying to do, but it is indeed a bit condescending and dismissive.

I feel like a lot of people are being that way. Let people have their feelings.

"Half the country is elated to have Donald Trump elected president" really, really does NOT convince me that it's going to be okay.

That convinces me that it's very, very, extremely, insanely, NOT okay.
