What Ash said. But also, while we do need to be able to communicate and talk to one another, there is a difference between having a conversation with someone and just having a screaming match.

when you are talking with bigoted people, all too often, they have no interest in having a conversation. They don't want facts and, often, will treat their opinions, based on...frankly myths and pseudoscience

as being equal to ones based on fact.

I am firmly for shutting those people down, in telling them to shut up and go away, in banning and blocking them from being able to express those ideas and in making them feel unsafe.
