Do you think confidence is a skill (and thus inherently learnable & developable) or is it innate and you have it or don't?

innate, but fake-able. I have no confidence, but most people are surprised when I say that cause I'm able to put on a good confidence mask.

confidence is not a homogeneous thing, there are different types and different roots

I think it's learned. I go out of my way to give my kiddo as many opportunities to try new experiences and make decisions (under guidance) as possible, so he can develop confidence in himself.

Or sociopathy
There are those with innate confidence and those that gain it in life. Generally if you're feeling good about yourself and who/what you are then that can be a real confidence booster.
That being said. I gotta confidence pill here I can sell you for a few hundred quid. (app-lick)

it's a mix... things can be learned and faked... but some are better then others at doing that...

I'm very bad at faking it tbh because I value sincerety and honesty.

I think it's both. Some people are born with it, others have to develop it.
