You know what's really odd? Seeing people online talking about "PoC things" except you didn't realize they were usually PoC things because you grew up in a REALLY Melting-Pot city.
Like, my first impulse is to respond with a snarky "since when is that a PoC thing?" and then it hits me: I grew up in San Francisco with mostly Asian friends spending all my time in China Town.
Like, I still tend to BOW to apologize to people as a force of habit. It gets me all kinds of weird looks because I'm super white European blend.
I'm sure a lot of people think I'm just being a weeb, and while granted I am a weeb, it's... a legit part of the culture I grew up in too.
IDK why I'm rambling about this. I just find it kind of funny.
