I'm not for the Electorial College changing results (nor did I vote for Trump) but I think what would be a positive change would be to require candidates to win at least 50% of the vote to carry a state

if not, a runoff would be called between the two candidates who gain the most votes. Seems doable.
Seems plausible… don't a lot of parliamentary democracies run their elections that way?
