You work hard, you learn, you adapt, you make concessions, concessions are made, you support - it's an evolving situation, there is no perfect

exactly!! And those goalposts, if you even want to call them that, move so often they are pretty much functionally nonexistent

if anything, the optimistic direction this could take is that they're both people with insanely good work ethics

if they can decouple from the idea of perfection and bend that work ethic towards the kind of striving that happens in a relationship, they'll be fine
