I don't really dip into the fandom much anymore, plus I'm a weenie who finds it difficult to agree with people

and most of my undertale exposure is therefore with small groups of likeminded people, like on plurk

so it can be hard to gauge what's popular or unpopular at large

so popular opinions that I disagree with... are probably not news. demon chara, perfect angel frisk, the kids shipped with anyone that isn't also a kid or in anything more than a disney toy ship way. also frisk/chara's that aren't 'they' >: /

but I so rarely come in contact with that side of the fandom so I have no idea what's happening over there or if the proportion has shrunk

last I came in contact with it was someone who suggested chara nuking the earth as a plot

in all seriousness

I don't blame you. The tumblr!Undertale fandom is as toxic as a Captain Planet villain.

I came from the Danny Phantom fandom; relatively chill and everybody knows each other, so it was a bit of a shock

XD sadly floating on fandom is difficult

I do like hearing about The Drama secondhand, but immersion in it would be unpleasant

Undertale fandom started out fun, but as inevitable with extremely popular fandoms..

It's more fun joking about drama than being part of it.

As for unpopular opinions... same problem really.
I do like to teasingly point out that there's no evidence Chara has red eyes in canon - there's more towards Frisk having them than anything else.

But at this point it's just A Thing, like Sans blushing blue, and I like it.
