what do you like to do? anything wacky? building, cooking, collecting?
the most notable thing I do is probably playing ringette, which is noteable because a lot of people have no idea what that is
Horseback riding, quilting, drawing, writing
nothing particularly unusual
vkm13: I, too, have no idea, haha. Give me deets!
Collecting Asian ball-jointed dolls
One of my life goals is to have a full squadron of x-wings on my Christmas tree
Kalineh: I've always admired quilting. It's a lot of hard work.
Makari's mother has been my mentor for quilting since I was in 9th grade
That's awesome! So you're a pro then
I'm about to start recording Let's Plays, too
cross stitch, tabletop rpgs, accumulating Too Many Boat Shoes
hahaha, far from a pro, I haven't done any quilting in a year or two
I play in nets, which is a bit of a psychological minefield
I'm Finnish! I know ringette!
I read books and play video games and I follow US politics constantly and I hate myself for it right now.
I have a poli sci degree but I work in a Finnish government agency that has nothing to really do with the US so it can't really be called anything other than a hobby at this point.
that's the country for me
I'm exceedingly mediocre at a lot of arts and crafts specifically knitting, sewing, and cross-stitch.
I REALLY enjoy baking, but I'm trying to lose some weight so I need to cut back on baking myself all the sweets, ahaha
I'm not sure any of my hobbies are especially noteworthy... Hm. Quilting, costuming, dance, video games, is RP a hobby, eying up theatrical lighting equipment with wishful thinking...
i play video games and i'm starting to pick up sewing!
greenanddying: you and your boat shoes. I did try cross stitch after you inspired me, but found it's not for me, haha. YOU MAKE SUCH COOL THINGS THOUGH.
wanderinspirits7: I love Kingdom Hearts! I've been debating FFXV, so maybe I'll check it out. c:
artell: Yeah, you're pretty masochistic. I only follow it because I have to (because I can't choose ignorance myself) /sob
allikateor: this is me. I love baking but it's not good to have too many around.
naturally.jo has some good stuff on Instagram (like his fake brownies) that are healthier, so I try things like that. but it's still rough.
biowafers: any recs for games? And sewing is awesome too. It's another thing I've tried and been generally too impatient for
I can't sew or cross stitch because it frustrates me, but I can code for hours. Go figure.
vkm13: that looks amazing, for real. do you play with a school team or community or pro or?
I'm in an adult league, though I grew up playing in kids rec leagues
I have done ballet, tap, jazz, modern, pointe, and Irish. So. Many kinds. I don't dance as much any more but any of them would suffice for picking it back up. That said I did like jazz and Irish best
there's a puzzle game called the witness that is probably my personal goty, it's a little pretentious but the actual design and puzzles make up for that! for something super casual stardew valley is a++, it's a harvest moon type farming/life game and sooooooooo good
those are both steam games! i haven't played much this year aside from my mmo, but i don't recommend getting into mmo land haha
makaricrow: daaaaaaamn. that's awesome!! what about jazz and Irish did you enjoy most?
my boat shoes are excellent tyvm
biowafers: I love harvest moon /sob. and yeah, I've done the mmo thing with City of Heroes and FFXII, but not really my thing
wanderinspirits7: I think that's the one my bff described as a jpop road trip through Utah, hahaha. It looked fun, even if not like others I've played back in the day
vkm13: that's really cool. c:
i would definitely check out stardew valley then!! it's really fantastic
Probably the movement and the speed I think? Like. I love dance in general. But I will tend to like fast and precise over slow and feeling it.
Also, jazz in particular gave me a whole bunch of music variety.
makaricrow: oh yah, I can see that. that's awesome
True story I once got to perform a solo to the opening song from FFX-2. Career highlights, so to speak.
