It's a blink and you'll miss it moment here, but...

Jinbe just committed mutiny, by himself, against a higher-up whp seems to be much, much stronger than he is.

If ANYBODY would know first hand the level of fear and dedication that took, it's Nami.

She went off to face Arlong alone with no idea the others would show up to back her up.

In a similar way I might add - while Jinbe didn't flat out lie like Nami did, he belittled the "business" he had to deal with so as not to trouble the others or put them in danger.

I've been wondering about that, actually. He looks more like himself this chapter, but last chapter he looked... off, to me

It took awhile to figure out it was that usually even when he's smiling and/or happy he still has "angry" eyes, where the brows pinch in and cover the top part

while the Jimbei that rescued Luffy and Nami had fully round eyes and his brows didn't cover them at all

but this chapter they were back to normal... I think?

SO IDK but yeah I'm waiting for something to be up. Since also why would he call what he'd done the mutiny when he'd already gone and officially "left" Big Mam's crew before then?
