traditional steady employment is eroding! (also when i said it's still a very difficult job market he gave me a surprised "really? still?" omg i have been looking for the past year, yes, STILL)

like. i have had a number of interviews where they look at my resume and go "wow, that's impressive, you could work anywhere!" uh. no. no i can't. no one will hire me. so, you know, thanks for the compliment but that does nothing for me.

I've gotten that compliment before, and had a place who said that almost pass me over because they thought I was likely to go work somewhere better. no, fuck you, job plz

I have straight up been asked why i was applying to a place when i went to UC for law school and i just said "because it's a difficult job market and i am not in a position to think like that" before realizing the correct answer would be why i specifically liked that place
