Attempting sleep training for the kiddo. I'm glad that like every source indicates it might not go well at first. Because it isn't going well.

day 2 of sleep training: put kiddo down in her bassinet for a short pre-bed nap (as is her habit)
she becomes immediately Loud and Inconsolable
hover until she takes her pacifier
...1 hour and 20 minutes later, still fast asleep
which uh. I'm not complaining, I guess??
She finally woke up 4 hours later, so back to the sleep training thing. And now for the bit they don't tell you about: Trying to balance "trying to not nurse her to sleep is like the entire point of this exercise" with "she appears to be legitimately hungry."
