So my dream was apparently a sequel to King Kong, where Kong somehow survived the first movie and went home. Also, he's as intelligent as a human and can talk. And is only about the size of a particularly tall human. So basically, Gorilla Grodd.
Anyway, the group that brought Kong over to the US in the first place realizes they screwed up and go back to make a peace offering... as presented by a guy played by Bill Murray? Who they tie to the front of a boat and send off to meet with Kong? (He got volunteered for the job.)
Kong is willing to go back to the States with the humans, but only if this opera house they're apparently connected to performs a specific opera as its last show of the season. Yes, there's a reason the humans have never heard of it. It's because Kong wrote the thing himself.
So we cut back to New York or whatever where Bill Murray is explaining to the opera's leading lady that yes, Kong is most likely going to be directing, producing, and/or starring in this show, so just go with it and try not to tick him off.
And then I'm in the story!
I'm working as Kong's assistant or something. And he's actually really friendly and easy to work for. Like, he's willing to track down some water or something for me to drink when the only thing available at first is basically water with instant coffee powder dumped into it.
Once we're in the green room, he asks why I'm not in the show. I tell him I'm "too much of an alto" to fit any of the parts, and this somehow leads into a bit where he insists that I'm an awesome person, really, I have a lot to be confident about myself over, etc., while I stand there and blush.
And then sudden swerve into police procedural/conspiracy plot, where a doctor comes in and tells us that one of the supporting actresses, who has been hospitalized after being beaten with a pipe, has suddenly died. From "breast cancer," as the official report says.
He certainly can't tell us that someone is obviously covering things up, alas.
And then the dream ends before anyone can start investigating further.
That's incredible. Also - chase your monkey man dreams, Ren. XD
