Though aside from animated movies my movie selection tends toward old Classics.

If you like mystery/procedural shows, I recently watched Hinterland on Netflix - BBC mystery series with 90-minute episodes that follows a London detective transferred to rural Wales. It does a lot of in-depth digging into the past dirt of small towns.

the Magi series (The Labyrinth of Magic, then The Kingdom of Magic, then The Adventures of Sinbad) is pretty engrossing and all on Netflix, it's basically the most recognizable names from Arabian Nights slapped onto a high fantasy world centered in western Asia

thats also on the list. I started it a while ago and havn't gotten back to it.

Parks and Recreation and The West Wing are both good shows if you're willing to go for older shows

Monster (horror), Darker Than Black (sorta sci-fi?), and Scrapped Princess (fantasy) are good anime options, too

the story doesn't really get interesting until after the first arc imo, so if you haven't made it through that yet you've just gotta muscle through to the good stuff

Elementary, Person of Interest, Law & Order (all), Burn Notice are my go-to rewatches. Current now that I'm enjoying: 24 Legacy, Legends of Tomorrow, Lucifer, Shadowhunters

Exorcist was amazing. They just wrapped up their first season.

Blacklist is also pretty good. The spinoff is scheduled to start soon too.
