TIME FOR INFODUMPING ON MY SEMI-OCS AND THEIR BAGGAGE~
See Kay's backstory for Vibri? Yeah, that's where Kita and Katsuya come from.
They were also killed at the same time Vibri was. Kita was one of the five chosen to go back out and fight the good fight. Katsuya wasn't.
Fast-forward past all the pain, suffering, angst, and trauma, and huzzah! Both twins are properly alive again!

(tbc, gotta go help Mom in the kitchen)
They tried to do the "go back to living a normal life" thing for a little while. But that... really wasn't working out. Huzzah, PTSD and all its happy little associates!
(btw, spoiler alert for xxxHoLiC up next, fair warning.)
And then Yuuko Ichihara, the Time-Space Witch, passed away. Or the universe finally caught on to the fact that she was supposed to have died ages ago. It's complicated and time-loopy and stuff.
The twins had had dealings with her both before and during the whole mess, which somehow led to them ascending to a higher plane of existence and becoming guardians of their corner of the multiverse.
So they're busy with keeping an eye on all the little parallel worlds and timelines as well as trying to minimize the damage Yui can cause in her worldicidal rampage in search of one single guy, seriously girl, this is not on.
And then CxN!verse popped into existence. Um, it really shouldn't be there. So they disguise themselves as students at Camellia so they can get a closer look at this new world and do their best to stabilize it. Because whether or not it's supposed to exist, it does, so by god, they're going to do what they can to let it keep existing.
And then there's the reason I call these two semi-OCs! They get backstory, too!
Wilykit and Wilykat from the 1980's Thundercats cartoon, because I adore that show in all its ridiculous glory.
Back in like, 2001 or so, Wildstorm comics released a bunch of stuff about Thundercats, including three miniseries that served as a sequel to the cartoon, basically.
It got waaaaaay darker and edgier starting from the second miniseries. Mumm-Ra managed to trap Lion-O in a pocket dimension, took over, and enslaved the other Thundercats. Wilykit and Wilykat in particular, who were teenagers at this point, became his personal handservants.
And their clothes came from the same tailor Jabba the Hutt used.
I was horrified at what had happened to my childhood heroes and promptly decided, "screw that, no, nah uh, not happening."
So I decided that Yuuko got involved during the timeskip between the first and second miniseries. The adult Thundercats bargained with her to get the twins out of the line of fire and to safety.
She disguised them as humans and enrolled them at Starflower Academy, a few worlds over from Camellia. Which, to be honest, wasn't exactly the bastion of safety everyone was hoping for, but it was close enough.
And um, that's about as far as it "officially" got. I do have more for them planned, but I tend to put that in the "hasn't happened yet" section of their timeline.
