She'll see an oncologist next week to assess the outlook and treatment plan. Luckily she's close to a very good cancer center and she did quit smoking a few years ago.
She's 70, but been so convinced cancer will kill her like both her parents and her brother that she'd been avoiding cancer screenings of all sorts for decades!
Most of all, we're worried that she's not thinking like a survivor, which is key to actually surviving. I'm worried for Mike too, since he's never dealt with death, like, at all.
