Oh, nice to meet you."
"Um, it's late, but it seems we don't have any other roommates?"
There was a mother and a daughter...but they changed the room as soon as they found that I a male."
Great, seems I can own this lower deck. I'd rather not climb up that ladder, I may kill myself, u'know."
That ladder is insane, why would anyone design this kind of ladder?"
Where are you from?"
"I'm from Taiwan. And you? Japan?"
"Yeah, it's obvious, huh."
"Your name, your appearance. Which city are you from? I've been to Japan before and I really like your country."
"Kyoto. Have you been there before?"
"I've been there once, and would like to go there again and again. The sakura was splendid in April."
"Glad you like it...You know, you're pretty good in speaking English. How old are you?"
"Haha, it's so nice of you. I'm 19, a college freshman. And you? You don't look like a student."
"I'm 27. I'm here in Canada during our golden week, to find my old friends. I used to study here. My roommate was a Taiwanese, too!"
"What a coincident! So, what's your plan tomorrow?"
"Hmmm, I'm gonna stay in Rocky for a few days, and will fly to Toronto, where I can find my friend. And you?"
"2 more days in Rocky and be ready to head back to Taiwan. I've been here a month already, I really love Canada."
"Haha, next time you should try staying here in winter for a month, you may change your mind."
"Oh my, it's really late already. I would like to talk to you a little more but I really really should get some sleep. I'm leaving at 7."
"Oh, I didn't notice that. Sorry for interrupting your sleep."
"No no no, please don't say that. It's really nice to have a little chat with a stranger before sleep. The number one reason I like hostels."
"I got the same feeling, Sophia. Good night."
