he fucked up Bruce's too

the thing is, there have been so many many more comics that have shown other characterizations of Bruce and Jason.
and there is the issue of whether we like it and if it's OOC or not, if something is in a non-elseworld comic and it isn't retconned, IT IS CANON
and the big issue is that there isn't another way for Damian to be around in canon other than the stupid rape story
I'd much prefer someone to retcon it back to the old version where it was consensual and she lied about losing the baby
we could still have Damian and Talia doesn't have to be a rapist
because the OP just decided to go with the idea that everyone who believes Talia is a rapist or doesn't find ways around it does it because of Talia's race
which is sort of ridiculous because in this same string of posts, someone was defending Damian...
so I guess my big statement here is that no matter if you like it or not, if it's in a canon comic and it hasn't been changed, it's still canon. even if the writer has his head so far up his ass he could lick his tonsils from the inside
can we feel free to not like canon? revise it ourselves for our headcanons and fanfic? you better fucking believe it
but canon is canon until retcon makes it not so.

but at least movies Talia's happily used mind control and crap on Bruce, so...
trust me, the comics are worse (and most of it is Morrison's fault. you can always be safe blaming him for SOMETHING)
let's see. the 'date rape' with Bruce is canon.
and the way Damian was raised. she took him to Bruce when Damian was 10. he was already a member of the league of assassins and had killed. many times. he had to fight Talia every year on his birthday, too.
yeah, I know that the animated movies brought that part in
which is...fucking awful
but I can deal with that kind of horrible stuff as long as it's recognized that it's horrible
also, Morrison had Talia fighting with Bruce. now normal parents just divorce and make snide comments and petty gestures. she was trying to take over Gotham and the world.
and Bruce wouldn't let her
so she had Bruce kidnapped and while he was getting free, she ended up having Damian's clone (who'd been genetically altered even more than Damian, and force grown so he was bigger than Bruce) put a sword through Damian's heart.
oh, and don't forget implanting machines in Damian's spine before that so she could take over his body and try to make him kill Dick
...I'm so glad that the animated movies skip over a lot of this
because yeah, in the stupid Batman Inc storyline, she gave the order to have the heretic kill Damian.
eh, maybe they just haven't gotten there yet -_-
also, Morrison created Damian with the full intention of killing him
thank god Tomasi and Gleason gave him enough character growth people started liking him
