Well, the inevitable happened. He IMed me on Discord and we've been talking, tenatively. I've gone back to basics with him, and am refusing to discuss anything to do with Rico (Ricardo, which is his real name, not that I care cause I've called him Rico forever)

But he's like...this broken egg with yolk seeping out, and I don't know how or if I can, make him whole again

I just miss the positive force he used to be, I guess, and wishful thinking won't bring that person back.

obviously i don't know his situation but, sadly even the most positive people can be hit with depression or other similar stuff :c of course that doesn't make it suck any less when a positivity source becomes someone you kind of have to care for instead
