do you have a lot of coyotes in your area?

he's missing almost that entire front leg though

yeah

especially lately

are they ever any trouble? in our area in CA we get mountain lions so we get calls from the local police like "pls keep small pets indoors, k thanks"

about 30 minutes after this he came within 10 feet of the front porch

not for the coyotes

we get the same call for mountain lions though

coyotes are so ubiquitous anymore there's kind of a blanket, assumed warning

yeah I'm just not as worried about the coyotes as everything else we have in the neighborhood

the wild pigs will mess you up worse than the coyotes will

I'm also laughing because we had a roadrunner this afternoon too

I just remember my friend and I turning off the highway and this coyote just standing there off the overpass in the rain with the saddest look like "but why wet though ;.;"

it's making me wonder if this is the one that I saw last week during the daytime and a few weeks before that

since all the rest of them are active at night

and yeah, coyotes are only a little more likely to cause of a lot of damage than like...raccoons

some of the dogs we have in our neighborhood actually bigger than this coyote was

livestock notwithstanding, anyway

that's why people keep donkeys with the cattle

...I would not want to be the coyote running into that
