[Shared Driveway Problems]
latest #18

So like, I go out of my way to make sure that the driveway isn't blocked by either my own vehicle or anyone coming to visit me. I make sure that my car is pulled into the spot in the back, we don't ever use the street parking because we do have parking in our yard.

But I swear to god the neighbors, who we share the single wide driveway with, have made it their mission the last few weeks (and for literally no reason) to make it impossible for us to 1) leave or access our house- because someone is almost /always/ visiting them and parked on the street, but across the driveway.

2) talk to them about it because I just tried to ask the guy who was there now to please be aware that I have a disabled child who lives here I am trying to get off the bus at this time and it would be nice if the bus were able to get closer to my house. And yes, I raised by voice- to be heard above the TWO running vehilces on the street. NOT to be a bitch

And literally ALL I said was, "Guys, can we not block the driveway I have a disabled kid that needs to get off the bus."
parking across driveways is not ever cool

If I had not spoken loudly and clearly he would have said I was shit talking, so I made sure to project- not scream.

No it isn't. When they aren't doing that they are blocking it by being in ti at the bottom, just off the road. OR they aren't pulled far enough into the parking space for us to get out without having to drop off the curb.

And see, the lady next door used to park in her backyard too, until about a year ago when she got her very own handicapped spot right out front- and now she doesn't technically use the driveway anymore so it doesn't matter to her if it's blocked or not.

This winter when it snowed they never even bothered to shovel anything more than the like 10 feet from their front door to the road where she parks her car. Even though, they'll tell me now it's their driveway too and I can't give them shit for parking on it.

Yes, it is- where the fuck were you when we were all out there for 2 days breaking ice and shoveling it clear?

I mean in the grand scheme of things I should be thankful I have a car, and a nice place to stay, but damn it if I'm not fucking tired of this chick and how she is about the driveway.
It's a valid issue

and we finally managed to nail down the actual neighbor and she said she'd take care of it.
Good!

We'll see if the people who come visit her listen.
