[Medical] Little brother had to go to the ER, with acute abdominal pain. Mum was suspicious of appendicitis and she was on the money. He's going into surgery either now or asap.
Oh no! I hope it goes well. It's usually pretty straightforward so long as it hasn't ruptured, which it doesn't sound like it has, so that's encouraging!

My Grandparents are so chill when it comes to trouble. I remind myself that they grew up during the post-war period in Britain, but still the keep calm and carry on is so strong with them. Oh good! That's excellent. The recovery time is usually pretty good. My friend's son, (Ben, funnily enough) had the same thing and he recovered pretty fast. <3
Update: Ben is home and doing well. He's a stoic guy, but I think he's doing a lot better. He had his gallbladder taken out several years ago, on the way home he joked that he's running out of disposable organs.
