The place where I work is extremely hot and humid. It's almost to the point that breathing gets a bit difficult during mid-late July when summer is at it's peak.
Next door (same building), was a pet store until about 10 years ago. In 1995 we had a terrible tornado rip through the building and animals were scattered and forgotten, probably written off on insurance as losses.
Today I found the awfulest mess of GECKOS living in and around the building. I asked the business owner and he said "Oh yeah, we've been infested since the pet store closed. They lost them and the environment here is perfect for them. They've been breeding for years."
Notice: Non-native geckos
When one washed down the drainpipe during the downpour today I scooped him up and took him to my "reptile guy". Now Frank is sitting in his terrarium on my desk eating mealworms.
