The boy has lived with him for a couple months. In the beginning, Newt could't imagine that he had to take care of a human child, not to say a boy who is also a Obscurus. He would forget that there is a boy who needs enough nutrition and who needs attention sometimes because somehow the young man became a boy when he was attacked by aurors.

Now, Newt checks his clock. It's already eleven. He drops his pen and hurries to the boy's temporary bedroom.
"Sorry, I'm late." Newt sounds really sorry.
"That's fine. I can go to bed by myself." The little boy tries to make Newt less guilty though, he sounds really upset.

Newt doesn't respond. Instead, he walks toward the boy and holds him in his arms.
"Sorry, but I'll make it up to you." He speaks to the boy, "You don't have to endure anything bad. I'll be right here until you fall asleep, Credence."
