I've managed to pry off the little square protubance from Rock's helmet. Now to try for the long one without slicing my fingers open.

I really should have done this first, but I'd misplaced my X-acto knife when I worked on this last.

This is much more work-intensive than just carving a heart-shaped notch into a Pikachu tail...

Now the question is, do I start to sculpt the shield and scarf now? Or should I touch up the paint first so the accessories aren't in the way?

Went with the paint first.

And the helmet loops sooooo much better that when I just painted over the protubances the first go around.

I'd start on the sculpting now, but I've gotta leave for game night in about half an hour.

But I think I've done a good job so far.

Next time: rediscovering how green stuff works, plus figuring out where I'm gonna put the shield...
