I just wanted to sleep in today because I have a late shift.

But today is the day they have to paint the hallways in the building. And the smoke detector keeps beeping every few seconds. And the dog is freaking out because of the painters and the smoke detector.

So I have a headache from all the noise and a stomachache because ibs.

I guess we really do need to replace that smoke detector battery

It's just been a bad morning.

I got the maintenance guy to replace it for us. But it's still beeping.

He said he'd come take another look at it after the painters were done.

Which I hope is before I have to leave.

I hate that thing

It's the one in the bedroom.

Yeah that's the one that's been acting screwy lately

I mean if we have to replace it or something that's fine, but I really hope there's a way to stop the beeping in the meantime.

Tell him it needs to be taken care of today because we're not going to go all weekend with no sleep
