and even though they're not actively looking and I have the blinds closed, I feel incredibly creeped out just by knowing there are people out there
not that they can see my bedroom.... that they can see my desk headdesk
and they can't even see it, but still I'm mildly worried about this
also. looks like everything is getting fixed for buying the house in Michigan. hubby had stopped by to meet the painter and she postponed for weather, so hubby talked with the couple that own the house some more
they are great people. shame they can't stay and be neighbors or something because they're really that nice
anyway, they gave hubby the grand tour and showed him how everything on the property works
and gave him an offer on the upright freezer and some furniture in the other house etc
showed him how the zero turn radius lawnmover works
offered to show him how to split wood if he hadn't done it before
gave him all the details about water valves, water heaters, etc
and of course that's when the lender called back to say they wouldn't make us hook up to city water if we got a letter from someone official stating that it wasn't required in the area
which of course it isn't. it's Michigan. if you aren't in a big city, most of the state has wells
anyway, the seller called HIS realtor
things are getting done so much more quickly when we just bypass our own realtor
and it looks like we're closing at the end of the month
I have pics
the gray house is for us. it has a basement
and the house with the red roof is right next to it on the same property, for our daughter and her kids
that's the barn and the sauna house
the barn is filled to the roof with already cut, dried firewood

and another little barn shed thing

THIS IS HER KITCHEN

upstairs bedrooms
and what's going to be my office, in the basement of the other house
I'm thinking of leaving one of those walls yellow, painting one fire engine red, and another a nice bright blue. and the last one gray
and all the furniture black or gray
with pillows and stuff in red yellow and blue
because it's also going to be my comic book room
though some of the furniture is wood, and I'm not repainting that
it's so pretty!!!! all of it!!!!!
I'm just happy because we won't have to do much maintenance. and there is space and it flows well
you can live on one floor
but even if I have to go downstairs (and I Will, because I'm setting up my office down there) it won't kill my knee like it does here (we have a really steep set of stairs here)
they're leaving those 4 big wooden cabinets. and the cabinet and table in my office
I think hubby already talked with them about the freezer and the furniture in the other house
it's good to hear that things are going smoothly on at least some part of this whole thing, too, after all the trouble it's been in the past
yup
