I got I trouble at work for violating a policy (accidentally) but now they have to do an LP investigation

So I got suspended

But our store is closing soonish as well

But I have to wait while they investigate me and I have no idea what they might find or decide they found

And since I told them no I have never stolen, if they think i did, I could be arrested

Or as they said "they'll have to get higher authorities involved"

And since petty theft is a misdemeanor in Nevada, it could be 6 months jail time

Despite the fact I know I have never stolen

If they go "oh well it looks like you took money here"

Like Idk how this is going to go tbh

They have zero proof

Any money that was missing, I reported it per policy

The registers have never been off when I close, and if they are, we have to log it and I always do

I even text my SM if we're missing more than $5

Because I DONT want to get in trouble

I pay for all my merchandise. I have multiple other managers who have SEEN me pay for everything

So I'm like even if they say "well on camera is looks like you did" they can't prove it cause there's nothing??

But of course I'm still panicking because that's what I do

And if they decide to arrest me, I won't be able to finish school, I'll be kicked out of the house

I won't be able to get a job

Typo will be taken to a shelter because I won't be able to take care of her

So it's just been hell for me this past week

But the investigation is supposed to last til the 28th so I still have 5 days to wait to see if anything is going to happen and I hate it

I'm just sitting here, waiting for a call or the cops to just show up

On top of that, we have to put my ferret down

He's old and struggling

I don't know what's going to happen to me

I just want to say, I know this isn't a comfort, but my friend was accused of stealing by her job and they found nothing and she didn't get criminal charges

I'm just worried about if they think they found something and get police involved and drag it out even more

I've never had this happen so I don't know what to expect
