I spent THREE MONTHS on 26!

I spent a lot of time walking around my neighborhood during hte double everything event? And I spend about an hour in the morning walking around. I've got ... ten- twelve pokestops/gyms near me.

That's still fucking amazing though, considering I usually do at least one catch and one Pokestop a day

For a year and a month at this point

Maybe you get a lot of XP from gyms now? I haven't even done a raid or anything yet, gyms really weren't worth dealing with until just before you joined

I tried to join a raid yesterday and it kept stalling because no one else was playing

They're like pokestops now.

Yeah, but before the gym update you could basically put a Pokemon in a gym and that was about it

You didn't get anything from beating them

You can spin and get stuff and XP. Also, if you feed berries to your team gym pokemon you get more xp

And you got 10 Pokecoins per day for defending them, but that was it

The berry thing is new too

And it's fantastic because I never use my Nanab berries

But yeah before you didn't get any XP from gyms

You get at least 50xp. There's also a streak bonus.

If you catch at least one pokemon seven days in a row you get XP bonuses and if you hit a pokestop seven days in a row you get XP bonuses.

You should be able to do level 1 and 2 raids by yourself.

It's the higher up ones that you need to grab your buddies for.

They usually are (or were) pretty good about giving you Pokemon you couldn't get locally in eggs.

My mom just got a snorlax in an egg, and still haven't seen raids for those or Lapras...
