ffxiv is down for maint. practically been stuck in the house for the past few days

been sleeping most of the time but I don't want to sleep

but I don't want to eat all of our food because idk when we'll be able to go to a store and get anything IF we can get anything

plus apparently my store is still planning on being open tomorrow

even though they've opened up two different dams in the houston area, one of em which is closer to my parents house

I wasn't able to go to work because high water blocking every which way I could conceivably go

like, a few good things that's come out of this is that my electric company has sent emails to everyone saying to not worry about paying for bills for the time being because of this hurricane / tropical storm

been spending quality time with teh peeps on xiv because lawl we're actually all online

and my cats are all cuddly

bad things tho

it's rained so much that there's now a leak upstairs in the doorway and it's coming down through the door frame

and then there's that mystery leak NEAR the front door, but not from the front door

so we have water damage in our apartment that we have to tell the management about

I've set up both of our mini fans over on that side to try and keep it a little dry

but it's not much if it keeps fucking raining.

so I'm not really worrying about it right now

not much we can do but keep things relatively dry
