well lets just throw out there that snowe canonically is absurdly good with kids. like, the baby whisperer over here. hes almost more his little sisters parent than her actual parents.

not that they dont try, they just dont have his magic touch that makes her behave perfectly around him

i can see him being pretty eager abt having kids once hes recovered from his Problems

gwyndolin canonically apparently couldn't resist adopting some sad lonely little crossbreed girl, and clearly spoiled her sweet while also sheltering her from everything he could

it was a questionable decision considering it left her distressingly naive, but you know he did it from a good place, wanting to protect her from evils

he clearly has some issues with the concept of parenthood- despite raising yorshka and there being no evidence of her actually being his sibling, hes raised her to believe him to be her brother, though hes evidently taken a parental role in her life regardless, down to even naming her to begin with

i can see why hed do that- im sure, with the example of gwyn, hed be afraid to give himself the title of father. for fear of the comparison to both gwyns faults, and the idealization of the concept of a Father

but hell no is he not gonna be mom for obvious reasons

so... brother it is. masculine, yet not so... Patriarch-sounding

artyom would be... complicated

hed have to be in a very comfortable place in his life for him to be pleased with it, even if it happens as an accident, somehow

as it is, he is already a father, and, uh

he is not happy about it, to say the least

the kid was conceived in questionable circumstances in an awful world with a woman he doesnt love, pressuring him to stay with her out of obligation. he holds no ill will to the kid themself, but... he resents the situation, and it also fills him with guilt in every way, because all he wants to do is run away

in nexusverse, hes no longer able to even get back to them even if he wanted to, and hes relieved, and he feels rotten for it

i can see him running an orphanage later in life in the metro, tho

if he were left to his own devices

without the mess of anna and their kid

snake... well. he has Issues with the concept of Family to begin with, but hes found some form of parental relationship with tori, and its sweet

and in canon he ends up raising a toddler up with otacon, and hes distant and gruff and can be a bit hurtful... but he clearly does love sunny, and she adores him in return

hes not the best parent but hes got social issues in general. he does his best. and his best is helped when he has a more emotionally connected partner to help him, like otacon

he and volgin should not be allowed to have a child tho just dont

give him a puppy instead

now, ornstein... i can see him being a bit strict, and , like snake, would need a more sensitive partner to balance him out. but he would be attentive in his own way, not to mention protective

hed probably get really frazzled really easily during the early stages tho

help how do deal with baby?? how deal with irrational toddlers?????

anyways its unlikely to happen regardless. but he could totally end up co-parenting a clutch of drake hatchlings, to which hed usually act like he doesnt care but... he do.

and hed be fiercely protective of the lil scaly babies

and maybe... just maybe..... when he thinks no one is looking.... hell play with em and have a laugh and a smile........
