i never get sick of majima got damn
2. What's your favorite trope to play out in rp?
i'm so weak for found family holy shit
the CR that always ends up being the most formative and crucial and rewarding for my character is the found family tbh
in my seven-year smash career Green Team was my
everything my shitty chayzard would do anything for his trainer and his brothers

my undertales after that have been just as blatantly all about the familial platonic bonds
tirp was shaped so much by hajime and frisk and room 4 fam chara is so utterly just. god dreemurrs and frisk and shepard are SO EVERYTHING to them
the bonds formed by choice not by blood obligation and the way they just all build each other up together is never not gonna be COMPLETELY MY JAM
(special mention also goes out to rivalmances. I'm also very very very weak for rivals who secretly care deeply for and trust each other but GRRR COMPETITIVENESS gets in the way of admitting it)
5. Is there an endgame you'd like to see for your character, even if it's not likely to happen?
for Chara.... honestly they're steadily scooting toward the best possible endgame I could have imagined for them
they're with a frisk who learned to love them and still has patience for how defensive and fighty and bristling they get, they have their entire dreemurr fam loving and supporting them
they've met and formed bonds with humans, somehow, who don't immediately shun them as evil and creepy or just reinforce all the things they hate about humanity
they're actually starting to conceptualize having a future
they're afraid of what kind of person they might grow up to be because the concept of continuing to survive is on the table. they're actually mourning the too-short life their own world handed to them
they have people they want to stay with. they have things they'd miss if they cut themselves out of the story
that's... a really big thing for someone who came fresh from "not the friend he wished he had" and "the one last threat to everyone's happiness." whose last timeline before that one ended on "if we're really friends, you won't come back."
that's a huge thing for someone whose eway life started off as an unwelcome intrusion, a complication, a problem to keep an eye on, "i never wanted you here. no one did"
i was so braced for them to crash and burn as the usual "ohhhh nooooo they're the problem in our happy post pacifist narrative" when i first apped them in i'm so happy with the turn things have taken
asriel and sev are both a bit too fresh for me to be plotting out endgames, on the other hand. i already know that there's basically no way asriel is gonna end happily though lmao
i came in here with my expectations firmly in check i know dude's gotta answer for every bad flowsriel that came before him and he's not gonna bounce back from that
sev on the other hand, i totally feel like she has it in her to thrive. maybe she'll even grow into a little more of a proper Honorable Altruistic Protector Of this World (lmfaooooooo not likely)
or maybe she'll just scoop up a regular host of Baker Street Irregulars and form her own Dingy Survival Pit thieves guild
teach some babbies how to pickpocket take some troubled thugs under her wing and learn them how to shoot a man
6. What aspects of a game do you use to give your character motivation?
man i had to ponder this one for a mo
it kinda depends on the game, I reckon?
I'm really not that big of a fan of horror or having to write characters who are long-term trapped in that constant "shut everything down to survival mode" state so i tend not to app into games where their development would be immediately skewed by that
but I always had a soft spot for when games had the option of randomized housing/roommates/squads or whatever to immediately encourage you to have some cross-canon cr right off the bat
i loved that immediate unknown and letting it shape their development as these at-first strangers kept being an everyday part of who they were and what they did
events are always kind of a constant in the dwrp game scene too, so it's a given to expect your characters to learn to cope with a certain level of uncertainty and instability in their life
and again, given the kind of horror emphasis in dwrp, you can usually anticipate budgeting some "every two months or so i'm placed in mortal peril as monsters i can barely begin to fight against hunt me and my loved ones and half of us die" lol
it be like that sometimes
aint rp unless somebody's getting beat t f up every so often, y'dig
9. What are some of the best plots you've taken part in?
eway has fed me a steady diet of solid gold
my faves tend to be the smaller player plots that spring up as a result of your relationships and own development threads, not Events or Game Plot
that many-months-long calamity where frisk turned into chara and then chara fuckign glitched them up to the point of suicidal ideation and then they got DT Extracted and ended up looking for LOVE or basically Suicide By Cop holy shit
chara is Still Fucked Up on that
if that even counts as a plot
it was just so silly and cute and everyone had so much fun doing it
i've got fond memories of them footloose and fancy free smash days
the shit my horrendous lizard got up to with samus aran the time that one metal gear fuccboi who looks like raiden shot him in the ass as part of an escalating tension going on between humans and nonhumans that one ridiculous hot springs episode where there was a laser bus or some shit
13. What has been the most unexpected development you've experienced with a muse?
tirp really took me by surprise just because of how much people welcomed this nobody-ass background npc and fed into their development and gave me all these deep and surprising threads to be honest
forest covered was really a once in a lifetime kind of thing where a side character never felt like a side character
they grew so much self-confidence and enthusiasm and were so happy to get themselves involved in things it was really just a precious golden experience for me
but i gotta say: chara continues to be My Childe lol
like i said: i totally expected their cast and cross-canon alike to react to them in the Typical Post Pacifist Narrative manner: oh no i somehow innately immediately sense this person is Evil And Wrong and thus i'm immediately suspicious
and they totally did start off on that kind of note
but it didn't end up with the downward spiral i was expecting to see at all
look at the cross-canon people who trust them and encourage them
look at how much of their cast likes them
i genuinely just have the Perfect Game with the Perfect Cast in eway tbh
i can actually play a chara who's still violent and self-loathing and plays up all intimidating and gets all nasty and unforgiving as an immediate defense mechanism without that completely dooming me to Satan Chara hell
i can actually play a pacifist route chara who can be pacifist route chara
not just stiff grim no mercy terseness but the puns and advice and eager curiosity that's all over the narration, the repentant memory that saved asriel, the little whisper that kept encouraging the face in the mirror
chara is still just as much of a chameleon as they were when they first set foot in wonderland, tbh. they're just... a character who very much responds to the guidance that external forces provide on how they're allowed to act, who they are, etc
so the fact that guidance has steered them inch by inch toward "you can be a person" is just a testament to HOW GOOD THIS GAME IS
entranceway more like entranceIM GAY
entranceway has a good cast
i'm also weak for found family
i am tearing up a little about chara dreemurr
same, constantly, all the time
im so glad.... things turned out so good for them
we gotta... do more loving momther soon
i still want... someday... for chara to be in a good enough place that their self-expression via magic, actually works out
they really feel like a dreemurr, instead of like something that shouldnt exist, and their magic follows suit
clutches my heart and cries a lot tbh
