Most people I contacted about their work being on patreon also submitted DCMA's myself included, what we can't get removed are the website listings so thats why we are trying to contact them, we also bought access to view the patreon to see if they are following through or not, i just hope everythings removed

its really frustrating to me that even with all the past dmca's filed against them that patreon has yet to close their freaking page lol. It makes me not have that much hope in their dmca process, but I'm just waiting to see how it plays out at this point

I still say, if any of them have trademarked or IP on their things that is from a big company, contact the big companies. They do have resources we don't.

Hey! I have nicely tried to be in contact with Leo. In the beginning she was very nice, seemed even wanting to genuinely have this stolen content removed.

However, it seems the list of items to remove is too many, they are telling me these items are from the Sims 3, and not Second Life. This includes items confirmed by Sari Sari, Floorplan, Dust Bunny and several others.

At this point I think the only option for some is to DCMA if their items are on the Patreon with proof of creation and ownership.

I think we have to adapt new methods for securing new content since they already have our old content. We have to change the way we do things. The advantage we have is they are not making their content, they depend on getting it from us.

Again, they have a fair amount of trademarked and copyrighted things - from big companies. Send word to them and see whether they want to do something to get them shut down. Companies like Adidas have far more resources to bring to bear.

I just filed a DMCA to godaddy and Patreon yesterday. She has like 10 items of mine there. Literally, all of my [Black Bantam] Babies are listed on her patreon. Not one was exempt. Just waiting for respond with godaddy. Patreon said they will handle it as fast as they can. I do recommend filing DMCA's. <3 Sorry everyone is dealing with this.

Also, as Damien and I have talked about, perhaps we can contact EA/sims and let them know that our stolen content is being circulated. Second Life is really good about removing infringed content out of inventory so i'm willing to bet EA is the same. I'll ask my attorney as well.

So. Even if they go to their own server, they will be hosting it someplace. That someplace will still have to accept DMCA filings -- even if it's their own house. If they fail to remove the content the host loses safe harbor protections and then becomes just as liable. Which is why all providers will take down identified content if a DMCA is filed...

If they were legit (which it appears they aren't), they would do a counter notification to have the content reinstated. So even if they move to another server of their own, the service provider has to act on a DMCA. And if they get their own box and host through their ISP at home, you can just DMCA the ISP.

Pretty sure what they're doing is just to desperately try and keep their subscribers. This is money they lose if they get kicked off patreon. I doubt they have a "team of professionals"

OMFGINGERS another sim tumblr that displays stolen work. I have dmcaed them in the past for sharing some of my ripped meshes and tumblr took down those posts immediately. They has since stopped openly sharing their stolen meshes but i suspect they still do it privately for their followers
