At least it’s easier to learn in song form?
I don't have to memorize it, "just" figure out the pronunciation
I've been listening on YouTube, and the words on the screen don't mesh up properly with the words in my ears snort
I need a phonetic one and I haven't found a decent one yet
maybe if I sit next to one of the people that isn't basically a native speaker...
I never noticed all the Finnish stuff when we just visited, before, Lec... pouts
when I worked at the newspaper, I used to have a coworker who would switch to Finnish anytime he got tired, it was so funny
but yes there's so much of it there
the housing area down the street has all the signs in Finnish
I don't know why I'm finding this so weird. I had no issue with things being in Spanish down in Houston, lol
and yet all I remember how to say is "smell my belly button"
but YES THE FINNISH STREET SIGNS
you're one up on me. I forget the name of the bread we have half the time, lol
we already got a while bag full of breads and cookies from someone, though
Nisu is the only Finnish bread I know
though when I looked it up it just means bread snort
I used to get it from the Suomi restaurant in Houghton
hng now I want Pannukakku
the American Finns use nisu and I think in Finland they call it pull, but it's the same thing
was Suomi open while you were there?
(someone already made us the egg coffee this summer, too, lol)
mmhmm! I used to eat there a lot, cos it was super cheap and the only thing open when i left work early morning at the newspaper
that's the only straight up Finnish place I know. but there's a place near Pelkie that has a Finnish buffet sometimes (and pasties one night a week)
I'm still trying to figure out where we had dinner that night we visited (though it's probably something else now)
could be
all I remember is my sandwich had mushrooms snort
and it was in that section of town
I don't want to think what it's going to be like next time I don't find a parking spot for piano
now that it's snowing almost every day. walking up or down that hill is going to suck ass
it's not even the amount, really. just that it's going to be there, which means I'm going to have to walk up and down that sidewalk with snow on it
looks a lot better on Google maps than in person, lol
now you know exactly the street I mean, lol
