I've seen a lot of people who are like
"regular pads and tampons are horrible bc plastic and chemicals!!"
a lot of these then go on to suggest diva cups????
which... isn't... that... plastic and chemicals?????
I mean yes it doesn't have the environmental waste impact which is of course a BIG plus for them, I'm just confused about why people seem to not be considering them just as unhealthy?
unless they're actually made of something else and I'm just not aware
diva cups are made of rubber I believe
does silicone not have unhealthy-ness like plastic then?
idfk the difference except silicone is squishy
it's used in a lot of food prep things and it's very inert to the body
that makes more sense then
Not that I can see myself using one either way, I don't want anything at all going up in there, plastic silicone or otherwise
I'm gonna get a stash of the reusable pads
since my bc means my periods are p. light
I kind of want to try out either reusable pads or natural cotton w/e ones
I have REALLY HEAVY periods
I use overnight pads and still have to change them more frequently than most people change regular ones
yeah I need to do more research
i have super heavy periods and was actually really happy w my cup
yeah I've read that they hold a lot
I'm really against anything at all going in my vagina
i had a lunette which is -- OK nevermind then it will not be for you
i havent tried thinx yet but have heard really good things about them
yeah what ive heard is ppl changing them 2-3 times a day on heavy days?
I don't know what I'd do with them or like reusable pads when I'm like at work or just out and about but have to change
do people just carry a bag in their purse to put the dirty ones in?
I think so, like moms do with dirty cloth diapers
also lol @ all the people who are like "but EEEEWWWW you have to WASH them" cause like, do they just throw away their undies and sheets when they bleed onto them?????????
and I'm like some peroxide and cold water and throw em in the wash
YOOOOOO they have a trans guy on the website for lunapads, a+
like if it ends up staining, they just become panties for sleeping in or lazy at-home days
yeah I have a stash of black panties I wear during my period bc leaks
I mean I wash them as soon as I can but I don't stress
I can't wear black underwear unless its a day when I'm not working
because I have to wear white shorts at work
~~~walt disney designed the custodial costume wow so cool wow we must never change it at all for any reason whatsoever~~~~
he wasn't the smartest human
also did not have periods
white shorts seems....like a bad idea for a custodian no matter how you slice it
white shorts AND a white top
also I have not had great luck with a diva cup personally? mine leaked and I couldn't seem to get it to not like...decide to reenact macbeth everywhere when trying to empty it, so. two cents.
the idea was that people would be able to spot us more easily, and also they'd see how clean we're able to keep OURSELVES at work so therefore the place must just be extra clean in general
you can also tell whenever anything even tiny gets on our clothes
but eh we have costuming locations we can go swap out our outfits if we need to
........that just sounds completely stupid. I have been to disney like 25 times in life and I have never once been like 'LET US BOTHER A CUSTODIAN SEE HOW BRIGHT AND CLEAN THEY ARE'
aka let people do their thing and try not to be an asshole
we all look like marshmallows
maybe you could wear baymax nametags. that might make it slightly better. maybe.
