when i checked after the latest wash, i don't THINK it still smelled like anything. last time, it was immediate, intense, and identifiable. HOWEVER: it's mulberry bukakke season, and we have two male trees, one in each yard. since i've been breathing their nastied up air, i don't 100% trust my nose at the moment.
so, i'm putting the pillows/sheets load through one more time before i give it a first run through the dryer, and we see what kinds of aromatic unpleasantness is revealed once everything's good and hot. (if any. but that's been the 'oh, no, it's still in there' stage for more than one load before this one.)
FIRST LOAD OFFICIALLY TRANSFERRED TO DRYER. hauling the comforter in from the garage and shoving it in the washer was pungent and awful, though. at some point either after the sun's gone down, or after evie gets on the bus before it gets too hot, i need to go sit with the garage door open and a fan going, because guess what it smells like now.
