so the chain of events follows:

I go to the clerical office area for my 15 because there’s a seating area with comfy seats there

I hear one of my store managers talk sing one of the english op themes for Naruto

I bust out laughing while he’s started talking actual business to one of the team members

he peeks over but goes back to being serious

after he’s done, he comes over to me and another guy who is also relaxing in this area and asks “What’s so funny?”

I tell him I was laughing cause I didn’t expect Naruto to leave his mouth

cue him going “Naruto is the best. It’s the only form of media that has ever made me cry” which I get

cause every person’s favorite anime can and will do that

I tell him I saw the first eps and that I didn’t like it. Told to watch the first ‘real arc’ before making a decision like that cause “it’s so good”

((Middle School--here's how i know I'm hooked on Sailor Moon. This would've been like...94ish. It was the episode where she's revealed as Princess Serenity, and Tuxedo Mask just took the hit for her, and I spent the entire weekend worrying so much. I'd been watching it before school in the mornings.))

BUT THEN

honestly? Naruto himself didn't get me into Naruto, Kakashi did. but he def. sounds like a fanboy.

I was talking to the other guy who also likes anime

and we started talking about Spice and Wolf and how why the hell is there not more

and then I told him that right now the anime that’s making me feel all sorts of things is Full Metal Panic

and was surprised and looked excited to hear that the new season started about 3 weeks ago.

Which he told me James Cameron is doing a live action version of Battle Angel Alita and that I should watch the trailer
