your best bet really is to build a htpc that either streams stuff straigt from a NAS drive, or has enough space.

and then just hook the htpc up to your tv. i'm tempted to build one myself hurhur.

Actually if you have an old Xbox around, you can build it as a media server. Throw in a bigger harddisk and a wireless kit and you are done

currently my DVD player plays divx files loaded up from USB thumbdrives.. it just doesn't play RM files. boo
